Small group prayers

Where to start…

For a follower or Jesus, there is no set way in which to pray. There is flexibility and freedom in that, as long as we are praying.

Depending on your personal preferences, maybe the time of day, time constraints and personality types. There are a whole range of options in how you can go about praying and there is no one ‘right’ way to do it. The Bible teaches and demonstrates many of these styles. Here are a few ideas to kick start how to pray for the Royal Family:

Small…

‘But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.’ Matthew 6:6

Perhaps you prefer to pray alone, as part of your devotion time with God. It’s a time when you can think, pray and give your requests about the Royal Family to God, without the distraction of others around you.

‘I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them.’ Matthew 18: 19-20

Perhaps you meet with a couple of others to pray together on a regular basis. Maybe you think that HM The Queen and Royal Family focused prayer should be part of this prayer time.

You could pray either regularly or intermittently. Consistent prayer will reap greater rewards as one shows dedication towards the cause. You could use this blog as a starting place for these prayers.

Bit Bigger…

‘They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.’ Acts 1:14

Perhaps you are part of a small group that pray together, and the topic of the Royal Family has been brought up as a matter to pray together for. You could choose a person or topic, and pray about the Royal family altogether.
