Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II has a HUGE role in the world. Our prayerful support is needed for her to govern and lead well.
As a Royal family, in the fullness of time, The Queens’ heir apparent, HRH Prince Charles, will succeed and take up this important role. Change is inevitable, so let us pray to our Heavenly Father and ask for His timing in these important matters.
I will be releasing regular prayer points each week for the British Royal Family. Although news can fuel our prayers related to them, this blog will not be fed by the media. The focus will be to help both you and I pray effectively and regularly for HM Queen Elizabeth and the Royal Family in different aspects of their life and work. Prayer points will be related to their duties-nationally and internationally; and their responsibilities and relationships, both within and outside the family.
Let us pray:
‘Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will in Christ Jesus.’ Philippians 5:16-18 NLT
‘And he [King Solomon] prayed,
“O Lord, God of Israel, there is no God like you in all of heaven above or on the earth below. You keep your covenant and show unfailing love to all who walk before you in wholehearted devotion.’ 1 Kings 8:23 NLT
Heavenly Father, we rejoice that we have a British Royal Family, although this may not be the view of all in the nation. We thank you for the honour it is to pray for the leaders of our country. Thank you for the roles and responsibilities the Royal family have in our country of Great Britain, and around the world.
In 2017 onwards, please help us pray regularly for the Royal family. Help us to consistently lift them to you so that they have the right focus for each day of their work and life. May the news we hear be given to you so that You might move mightily upon this special family. As we give thanks and pray for them in a way that has not been done before, take care of them, Lord. They belong to you, as your dearly loved and chosen people.
We pray 2017 onwards will be years marked by the unstoppable movement of prayer for HM Queen Elizabeth, the Royal family and HM’s household. Lord, the work of Your hand is nothing that we can be honoured by, even though our prayers are part of it. You, Jesus, get all the glory.
In Jesus’ name, we ask.
