Every day children are born and it is a miracle of life to be celebrated. TRH Duke & Duchess of Cambridge now have three children together. This child, who will be a Prince, is another Great-Grandchild of HM Queen Elizabeth & Prince Philip, and a Grandchild to HRH Prince Charles.
The news has been given its own page on the Royal website. More details, including a name, will be announced on this website & their twitter feed
Let’s pray for this family:
‘You formed my innermost being, shaping my delicate inside and my intricate outside, and wove them all together in my mother’s womb. I thank you, God, for making me so mysteriously complex! Everything you do is marvelously breathtaking. It simply amazes me to think about it! How thoroughly you know me, Lord! You even formed every bone in my body when you created me in the secret place, carefully, skillfully shaping me from nothing to something. You saw who you created me to be before I became me! Before I’d ever seen the light of day, the number of days you planned for me were already recorded in your book.’ Psalm 139:13-16 TPT
We praise and thank you, Heavenly Father, for the birth of children. They are a miracle of life, given to the parents to tenderly care for and love. A joyful event! We thank you that you created this child so intricately and thoroughly into something beautiful to hold and behold. Thank you, God, that you planned this arrival day long before the parents… and the media. You are so gracious and kind, all we can do is praise and thank you for the new life you have given to the family of TRH Duke& Duchess of Cambridge today.
Names are so important to a child, beginning its journey of finding out who they are. In the next few days, as decisions are made and loved ones are informed before the public, we pray for the future of this child. We pray that the name that is given to the child would build him up and start to establish a future of goodness and righteousness.
‘The father of a righteous child has great joy; a man who fathers a wise son rejoices in him. May your father and mother rejoice; may she who gave you birth be joyful!’ Proverbs 23:24-25 NIV
‘Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people.’ Luke 2:52 NLT
We thank you, God, that you have ordained this life to live as part of the Cambridge and Royal family. As the child grows and develops, we pray for the parents, Duke & Duchess of Cambridge. It is not easy to bring up children, let alone in the eye of the world and its media. So we pray that you’d guide and instruct them, providing great, great wisdom for each stage of development for all the children you have gifted them with.
As a new child is added to a family, it challenges the norm of family life until a new routine is established. Therefore we pray for Prince George and Princess Charlotte. We pray they’d know the love, support, and care from their parents at this time when the new child seems to have a greater importance and priority. Provide wisdom to Prince William & Catherine in how to juggle family matters, their time, and their responsibilities during the next few days especially. These are unique and special times together as a family and we pray for great family bonding, Lord Jesus.
We pray that all the children of TRH Duke & Duchess of Cambridge will grow in wisdom and in stature with both God and the people around them. Activate within their spirits an earnestness in searching for a life in Christ where deep hope can found. May this new Prince for the Cambridge family, find and know for himself, the Prince of Peace himself! May they learn how to live a life of integrity and honesty, knowing the distinction between good and evil in their life. Make them wise beyond their years, Lord!
We celebrate with those who are joyful! We pray for God’s richest blessing upon the whole of the Cambridge and wider family members at this time. Heavenly Father, pour down your blessings upon them at this time.
Today and always we ask, in Jesus’ name,
Amen.
