The Lord’s Prayer for the British Royal Family

The Lord’s Prayer is a model to pray for the Royal Family every day.

The Lord’s Prayer can be found in Matthew 6: 9-13. In the NKJV it reads this,

‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.
For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.
Amen.’

This prayer can be prayed as it is. However, it can also be used as a model for our daily prayers. This is my unique daily prayer for the Royal Family based on the Lord’s Prayer above.

Let’s Pray:

Our Father, the One who reigns in Heaven, revered and sacred is Your Name. I dare to whisper Your Name because of your great Holiness.

Show a glimpse of heaven to the Royal Family here on earth. Make your heavenly presence known here on the earth, especially to the Royal Family.

Give the Royal Family everything that they need today. You know the cries of their heart Father God. Give them provision for today.

Father, please forgive the sins of the Royal Family as they learn to deeply forgive the things that others have directly said or done to them. Give them Your boldness and courage to do this. Release them from any bitterness or resentment.

Lead the Royal Family away from things that look enticing. Shift the gaze of their eyes and heart away from temptation and evil towards a greater inner contentment and peace in You.

Rescue them from the Evil one that prowls around them, wanting to kill, steal and destroy all that they have. Protect what they have and give them the wisdom to discern good from evil.

Each day Lord, we give the glory and power to You. The kingdom is all Yours and no-one else’s.

Forever may it be

Amen.
