Prince William is a Grandson of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. He is also the first child and son of HRH Prince of Wales, Prince Charles. Prince William’s mother was the late Diana, Princess of Wales who died tragically in August 1997.
Her Majesty, The Queen gave Prince William the title HRH Duke of Cambridge on the day he married Catherine Middleton. She became the HRH Duchess of Cambridge when she married. They have since had 2 children – Prince George & Princess Charlotte.
In July 2017, The Duke of Cambridge finished working as a pilot for the East Anglian Air Ambulance to concentrate full time on his Royal duties.

Let’s pray:
‘Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.’ Isaiah 40: 28-31 NLT
O Lord, you are the God who knows all things, the one who will give us what we need, each and every day. We pray for the relationship between His Royal Highness, Prince William and his Grandmother, Her Majesty, The Queen. Give them special times together to discuss not only personal matters but national and international issues too. We pray that HRH Prince William will be encouraged and enthused by the personal faith of his Grandmother, and the wisdom & understanding she has as a result of her Christian faith.
As HRH Prince William starts a new phase of his life in September 2017 focused more on Royal duties, encourage him, Lord. Furnish him the focus and determination to use his time wisely and effectively as this new routine starts. As a young man, we pray that you would give him your strength to do what is required of him as an heir to the British Throne.
When he becomes tired and weary of meeting the public and being followed by the international media, we pray that he would trust in you to provide the energy and enthusiasm needed. Thank you, God, that you help us to soar high above mountains like an eagle to see the world from your perspective. Give HRH Prince William eyes to see what you want him to see as he reads, listens and thinks about the nation and the Commonwealth nations around the world.
‘Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.’ Psalm 27:14 NLT
As Prince William waits patiently for the fullness of God’s time to become the King of Great Britain & Northern Ireland, we pray that you would prepare him to become a bold, courageous and godly leader. Bring the right advisors, administrative and security staff around him. Protect his mind, body, and spirit from anything that sets itself against him and his Royal team.
‘Your justice is eternal, and your instructions are perfectly true. As pressure and stress bear down on me, I find joy in your commands. Your laws are always right; help me to understand them so I may live.’ Psalm 119: 142-144 NLT
We pray also for his marriage relationship to HRH Duchess of Cambridge. As the media scrutiny towards them is intense, provide them with a few discreet friends and family that love, support and encourage them through their married life. Lead them to your word, the Bible, the eternal book of life and help when the pressure and stresses around them are high. Lead TRH Duke & Duchess of Cambridge towards respected prudent mentors in the Christian faith, such as Royal Chaplains and/or Archbishop of Canterbury to pray, listen and encourage them as a couple. In such a unique position in the nation, cover them and lead them with your loving kindness.
Lastly, we pray that you would equip Their Royal Highnesses with wisdom from heaven as they bring up HRH Prince George & HRH Princess Charlotte. Surround them all with your heavenly protection, mentors, and staff who will encourage and support them in their parenting. Release understanding and wisdom like that which King Solomon had to this couple.
In your mighty name, we ask these things,
Amen.
